Opening letter to the Sustainability Report of the Enea Group for 2025

Dear Stakeholders,

We are pleased to present the latest Sustainability Report of the Enea Group. 2025 was a pivotal year for the Enea Group, marked by the streamlining of operations, optimization of processes and a strategic reinforcement of initiatives supporting the energy transition.

For years, we have effectively implemented our commitments to the environment, local communities and corporate governance. However, it was the adoption of the Enea Group Sustainability Strategy in 2025 that gave our activities a new and fuller dimension. This document strengthens and complements the directions set out in the Enea Group Development Strategy to 2035, and the synergy between the two documents enables us to pursue our ambitious transformation objectives more effectively and consistently.

The Sustainability Strategy precisely defines our priorities, setting the course of our activities over the coming decade. It is more than a collection of ambitious goals and initiatives; it is, above all, a response to the Enea Group’s energy transition needs, stakeholder expectations, and sustainability requirements, which we defined collectively with all Group companies at the start of the strategy development process. This resulted in an action plan for the coming years based on four pillars:

  • Energy with Respect for the Climate – a pillar focused on energy transition and decarbonization;
  • Nature for Future Generations – a pillar covering the broader natural environment: from supporting biodiversity and managing water resources and pollution to waste management;
  • Effective Collaboration for Stronger Relationships – a pillar in which we focus on our employees, suppliers and business partners, and responsible governance;
  • Active partner for local communities – a pillar designed with our customers and the development of local communities in mind.

For each pillar, we have defined specific, measurable and time-bound objectives. These include, among others, the transformation of our generation portfolio, the reduction of water consumption, the development of corporate culture, and the improvement of our offering of more environmentally friendly products and services.

2025 was also a period of intensive efforts to strengthen the awareness and competencies of our employees. We are consistently building an organization in which decision-making processes are clear, and their foundations are transparent and based on precisely defined criteria. In response to growing educational needs, which are especially pressing during the time of increasing misinformation, we delivered a series of training sessions covering key sustainability topics. This program reached over two thousand employees.

We place particular importance on our evolving engagement with stakeholders, as environmental, social and governance considerations are becoming an increasingly significant factor for assessing corporate performance. The growing interest in ESG matters, particularly among shareholders and customers, confirms that the direction we have taken responds to actual needs of the market and our environment.

The preparation of the report for 2024 has provided us with valuable insights that resulted in the development of new sustainability policies. These documents complement the areas that require further support and strengthen the foundations on which we base our ESG activities. They are described in detail in this Report.

The evolving regulatory environment and the scale of the projects we are undertaking require our determination, resources and broad commitment. We consistently pursue responsible transition, demonstrating that Enea conducts its business in a conscious, transparent and responsible manner towards the people, environment and communities with which it works.

This Report is more than a fulfillment of a reporting obligation. It is a structured source of knowledge about our activities, identifying key areas of focus, enabling year-on-year comparisons and providing a basis for business decisions regarding future development directions and financing of investments. The Report has been prepared in accordance with ESRS standards and transparently presents our impacts, risks and opportunities, showing direct links between them and our strategy, business model and adopted policies.

We encourage you to explore the Report, which clearly and systematically guides the reader through the full breadth of the Enea Group’s sustainability activities.

We are confident that this Report will serve as a valuable record of our Group’s commitment to responsible energy transition.
